This month, I’d like to celebrate the things that have made me smile, the things that have taught me new lessons or inspired me in the hope that they will also encourage a similar reaction for you.
Yesterday I had my first exciting present sent to me in the post. A beautifully crafted poster of the world, perfect for my wall in my walkthrough wardrobe (not walk-in because you technically have to walk through it to get out of the bathroom).
My hair is a birds nest, my false eyelashes are stuck to the pillow in almost comical fashion, and the loud alcohol induced snores from my partner echo throughout the small room at the wedding reception venue. Hey everyone! For my birthday this year, I really wanted to visit a zoo.
So I did.
The determination that is present within all of us is the driving power that gets us to where we want to be and in order to ignite that spark we must absorb experience like a sponge. Dip into adventure after adventure, explore things outside of your comfort zone.
This week I have been learning about the Sombali language, a regional dialect spoken in the Philippines which uses compass directions (North, South, East and West) to orient themselves.
The more I age and the further I delve into the realm of the twenties, the more I realise that this era is meant for reinvention. Consequently, I am a firm believer that reinventing yourself will help you to find yourself.
I truly believe that in order to fulfil ones potential, we need to move past societal expectations and make our own paths.

My first day off since Christmas and I spend it, unsurprisingly, in a bookstore.
