My Thoughts On Valentine’s Day + Discounts For Pretty Little Thing

I’ve never really been someone who’s celebrated Valentine’s Day before. Sure, I’ve had presents bought for me and purchased a few myself but it’s always had this tinge of commercialism that I can’t quite seem to get on board with. It’s almost as if society is telling couples that although you may just plod along day to day every other day of the year but this day, The Day, you must show an exceptional amount of love and tenderness for your partner, in the form of gifts.

Although I have a bit of a cynical view on the day, I can also see why it is a day of importance. I can see that it is important to show your loved one how much they mean to you, how much you are devoted to them and how much effort and time you want to give to the person that lights up your day, that makes you smile even on your bad days.

Overlooking the commercial side of Valentine’s Day, I do think it’s wonderful that we have an excuse to make our partners feel wonderful about themselves.

As a Pretty Little Thing affiliate, I thought I would share with you a few of their latest Valentine’s Day collection as not only are they gorgeous and sexy pieces but they also use non-photoshopped images of ladies as well as a variety of shapes and size models to advertise their clothes which is definitely something I can get on board with. Plus use the code SA10UN at checkout to get 10% off your valentines order.*

I hope you all have a wonderfully devious Valentine’s Day and are spoiled rotten with affection.

Until next time.
